On June 13th 2013, Rehya released a 13 song album called “Vintage Love,” that delivers the gospel of her heart. With artistic maturity, Vintage Love elegantly sweeps through the genres of Pop-R&B, Dance-Pop and Neo-Soul, with Gospel influences threaded throughout. The production is steeped in soundscapes reminiscent of Quincy Jones and the era of Sophista-Pop, (which birthed timeless classics from Lisa Stansfield, Sade, Simply Red, and Swing Out Sister) while delivering effortless pop hooks and powerful dance anthems that get you out of your seat.
“My wish for Vintage Love is that it moves people to dance, think, laugh, cry, and want to make love. I hope men will be inspired to romance their women more, and demonstrate genuine respect. To women, deep respect is so sexy. We have a hard time cherishing ourselves, so when we receive it from a man, our psyche heals in a profound way." - Rehya Stevens
Vintage Love is Produced (primarily) by Alex Teamer (Colby O' Donis, Akon, Quincy Jones), with additional tracks by C Minor (The Jackie Boyz, Candice Glover, Kylie Minogue), Austrian producer Sam Vahdat, and Duane Neillson (Composer for Diamond Mine Productions; Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray, Everybody Hates Chris).
Vintage Love features an impressive cast of some of LA's finest musicians. The title track features guitarist Michael Ripoll (Babyface, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Barbara Streisand, Aretha Franklin). The contemplative "A Little Bit Of Rain," is graced by the impeccable tones and textures of guitarist Gene Black (Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Elton John), the effortless mastery of drummer Dave Hooper (Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Marcus Miller, Lee Ritenour), and co-writer/bassist, Larry Antonino (Shelby Lynn, Ronnie Laws, Barry Manilow). Bearing a tinge of country-soul, "Never Give Up" showcases the rhythm section of the late Joe Cocker (Gene Black/Guitars, Oneida James- Rebeccu/Bass, and Nick Milo/Keys).
